Load Management – This software is fairly specific and becoming more popular as either an integrated subset of WMS or as a separate entity.
The functions usually include pallet optimization for building items from order lines into manageable pallets, based on weight and cube requirements. Other packages, or same packages, may include truckload optimization for axle balancing, load fill, or multi-stop routes.
